The long shadows of a bright January Day in Morris Park

A bright sunny mid- January day in Morris Park, high noon and a rich blue winter’s sky. The tall Tulip Poplars sway in the brisk wind, the wings of the Mourning Doves flutter and briefly wail, the dried leaves or the young beeches rattle.  The breeze is briefly gone and it becomes quiet.

Quiet enough that can be seen the silence of the shadows.
